This is a first course in physics that satisfies pre-medical, pre-dental, and pre-engineering requirements. Knowledge of elementary calculus is required. Lecture and laboratory must be taken together unless approval of instructor is obtained.  Newton's Laws, work and energy, momentum, gravitation and periodic motion will be covered.  Registration is limited to students pre-approved  by the Summer School.  Concurrent enrollment in PHYS-041 is required unless instructor permission is obtained.


SECOND SESSION (July 7-August 8)

Basic Physics

This course satisfies a math/science requirement for the College.  The science of everyday life: motion, energy, momentum, gases, heat, atoms, electricity, magnetism, waves, sound, light, quantum physics, and the world according to Einstein.
