Georgetown University Summer School
Overlooking the idyllic Potomac River in Washington, D.C., Georgetown University was founded in 1789 by Archbishop John Carroll and his staff of Jesuit teachers. We began as a college comprised for a mere 12 students, but Georgetown has developed into a world-class research institution and global university proudly known for a diverse student body, prominent faculty, and an academic atmosphere fostering intellectual exploration, personal growth, and community leadership. As the nation's oldest Roman Catholic and Jesuit University, Georgetown strives to follow and promote the Jesuit ideals of spiritual inquiry, compassion, devotion to learning, and social justice. Georgetown has campus locations in both Washington, D.C. and Doha, Qatar and is comprised of four undergraduate schools and three graduate and professional schools.
A division of the School of Continuing Studies, the Georgetown University Summer School offers over 300 exciting undergraduate and graduate courses during four summer sessions to both Georgetown and non-Georgetown students. Summer School not only welcomes students from various colleges and universities nation-wide and internationally, but also encourages enthusiastic learners from all walks of life to apply and partcipate in summer classes. We invite you to explore the Georgetown University Summer School website and look forward to hearing from you.
